High CPU during file copy

Hi, I am running my connector on a VM under TrueNAS, here is the uname output:

Linux peon 5.15.0-72-generic #79-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 19 08:22:18 UTC 2023 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

It has two vCPUs and 2GB of ram attached to it. The local network is a 1000Mbit switch on my AT&T fiber router. The NAS ip address is listed as a resource so I can access Plex remotely.

When I copy large files from my laptop to the NAS share on the local network, one of the CPUs on the connector goes to 50% and the copy tops out below 150Mbps, varying slightly over the course of the copy.

Before the NAS IP address was a Twingate resource, I could basically saturate the gigabit link on the switch. Any ideas what might be the issue? Is this expected?
