Linux Client - Package not found

When I try to update my package manager I get the error shown in the screen capture. Despite this the connector seems to be working fine, but still it’s a bit disconcerting to see the error occur. Any ideas?

Thank you.

Hey Tom,

What version of linux are you running and on what system architecture? The 404 message suggests its looking for a platform we potentially don’t support.

Let us know!

Thanks!

Hi Arthur,

This was on KDE Neon AMD64.

Huh – that’s definitely odd, I can confirm that I see the same thing on a local KDE Neon install so I’ll check with our team and see if there’s anything we can do about it, but it does definitely look like everything installs correctly, so it’s probably a nothingburger, even if it is a bit disconcerting.

I’ll comment here if I find anything out!

Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Hey Tom,

Just wanted to let you know - we have multiple file extensions in our repo (.gz/.bz2 / uncompressed) but our repository provider does not support .xz which is what the particular apt client is trying to fetch (in concert with the others) which is where the 404 is coming from. It’s not indicative of a problem and you can basically just ignore it!

Thanks again for pointing it out!

Hi Arthur,

Thank you for the diligent follow-up. Nice to know it’s not serious and FOMO doesn’t apply
