Testing a VM on Google Cloud Platform, following the deployment guide at:

The deployment guide lost me here:

External IP: Select “None” as no external IP address is required.

Won’t this result in the VM not communicating with, well, anything except the internal (GCP) network? No internet updates? No downloading of Twingate?

In my testing, you need to at least choose an Ephermeral IP.

What am I missing here?

I should not cause any issues as the connector doesn’t need an externally facing IP to reach the internet.

Our connectors DO need access to the Internet just to operate, but not an external IP of their own.
